
Driven by a desire to innovate, Christine Jantz, emerging artist, examines gestural expression via color, composition and materials. Inspired by the random, yet controlled dispersion of paint on canvas using non-traditional tools. Intense conceptualization of each piece prior to setting paint to canvas is integral to rapid execution and contributes to the ephemeral impression of the work. Her early vivid memories of lightning displays at night in the Southwest from the back window of a station wagon and occasional booming thunderstorms inform her art with vibrancy and intensity. Innovation comes from personal insight and creativity.

2023 Three paintings installed at Groover Labs (co-worker space and maker space), Wichita, KS. Pulse of the Making Exhibit, CAA@Canal Gallery, July-August. Juried selection of More Cowbell for Sprung 7, ARTHOUSE.NYC in March and one of 9 artists selected to show @ Big Screen Plaza randomly 5-10 times daily through the month of April. Additional paintings were selected for installation through the Corporate Art Loan Program at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum.
2022 Paintings were selected in curated digital exhibits and published in Observica. A number of paintings were selected for installation through the Corporate Art Loan Program at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum.
2022 Member of wipCRIT Cohort 2 with Cathleen Daly sponsored by the Cambridge Art Association in the Fall of 2022.
Her unconventional resume for an artist includes B.A. Mathematical Sciences, Bethel College; M.S. Statistics, University of Iowa; and M.B.A, MIT Sloan.
